Femaissance Studios is the art practice of Danielle McCarthy, a queer artist based in Cleveland, celebrating femininity, pop culture, and community. Danielle came to Yikes in 2023 needing new branding after updating her business name. With a birthday celebration only months away, we got to work to create a beautiful and meaningful brand identity for Femaissance.

Wanting to focus on the bold, queer, feminine, and spunky, we came up with custom lettering for the logo. With such a long name, we focused on creating a unique and recognizable monogram for smaller use cases. A bright pink color palette is accented with hints of green and deep burgundy to keep things fun, playful, and adaptable. Inspired by childhood dreams of femininity, the custom icons add even more room for play in the brand. The finished identity turned out cuter than we could have ever imagined!
